I'm Plagued By Small Town Fascists. Like A Rash On My Skin.

Watching their concert special Sydney Circa 2004slash08 on Music Choice last night, I was abruptly reminded how much I love The Dissociatives debut album. Fronted by former Silverchair singer/guitarist Daniel Johns and Aussie electro-wunderkind Paul Mac, their debut album blends Mac's past remixing talents with John's knack for stringing together catchy harmonies. Recorded mostly in John's NYC apartment, the duo have deftly cobbled together an auspicious debut album that grows better with each listen. For your listening (dis)pleasure:

The Dissociatives: We're Much Prefered Customers

The Dissociatives: Somewhere Down The Barrel

The Dissociatives: Horror With Eyeballs

The Dissociatives: Forever & A Day
