Lately I've been getting into record labels as much as the bands they house. One such find is Credential Recordings out of Tennessee. True purveyors of good pop music, a recent package from them contained not only the stellar Future of Forestry but the mellow, gliding Lost Ocean. This Bakersfield, CA quartet's recently released e.p. Night To Life is a fluid display of pop charm and fantastic musicianship. With terrific attention to detail, Lost Ocean have deftly crafted one of the year's most exciting albums. For your listening (dis)pleasure:
